Capability Enhancement Schemes
- Remedial Classes : With the objective of making classes interesting and comprehensible to students, remedial classes are held in vernacular media. These remedial classes are conducted by the teachers thus enhancing interpersonal and communication skills among the students. This activity helps in improving academic skills of the students. In addition to this after assessing the performance in the I Internal Test the subject teachers identify the poor performers in their subject and conduct the Remedial Class for them. Attendance is maintained for the same. Continuous evaluation of the same is followed up for improving the performance.
- Career Counselling : Jindal College For Women with its academic excellence, also aims to provide career guidance and placements for students of all streams at the Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate level through Placement Cell. It helps the students to take up challenging careers in their chosen fields by providing training and current information to assist the students in placements. Sessions on career opportunities, coaching for banking and entrance exams etc are held.
- Bridge Course : Bridge course is conducted for I Semester students of all the courses by all the subject teachers. The main objective of the course is to bridge the gap between subjects studied at Pre-university level and subjects they would be studying in graduation. The Bridge course is aimed to act as a buffer for the new enters with some objectives to provide adequate time for the transition to hard core of degree course.
- Yoga : Yoga is a way of living that aims towards a healthy mind in a healthy body. The art of practicing yoga helps to control an individual's mind, body and soul. It brings together physical and mental discipline to achieve a peaceful body and mind, and it helps manage stress and anxiety. It also helps in increasing flexibility, muscle strength and body tone. The aspirant feels rejuvenated and energized. Yoga is part of curriculum. Yoga class is included in the regular time table for UG Students. Classes are instructed by Physical Education Director for which attendance is maintained. The College celebrates International Yoga Day every year on 21st June.
- Personal Counselling : Students Grievance Redressal Cell functions actively through out the year. Students with any grievance whether personal or academic consults the committee members to resolve the issue. Some students are counselled by the Psychiatrist from the Manav Charitable Hospital depending upon the issue. The Class mentors also counsel the students regarding the academic performance and various other issues.
- Soft Skills : Soft skill courses are conducted to groom the students, and to enhance and refine the required skills among the graduates to make them employable. It also helps them to meet the changing demands of life, and the work environment. It enhances their interpersonal skills. It also focuses on communication and personality development, which enables them to set up their goals in life.
